We are ‘Development Partners’ with The Handbook Group

For the last 5 years we have worked closely with The Handbook Group. Acting as consultants and developers, we complimented the vision, ambition, industry knowledge and communication expertise of The Handbook Group team with our own technical know-how and years of experience to help create and evolve their suite of cloud-based workplace handbook apps - and the powerhouse platform which runs them.

Beans Coffee Club

Over 7 years ago, we started working with Beans Coffee Club to research, design and build their personalised coffee subscription platform.

Initially building the prototype by providing bespoke Wordpress development, Beans were able to build their subscription base, perfect their platform and raise funding from a couple of Dragons of Dragon's Den.

We then hand-built the new site including the payment provider integration, postal service integration, personalised selection process, coffee reviews, gifting and rewards system, along with the flexible subscription mechanics.

Case Study - Ideas Checkmate

Our client was engaged in a campaign to re-engage with lapsed clients, and help bring on board new clients currently using their competitors platforms, We were tasked with creating an online interactive tool to generate interest amongst prospects, collect industry data and help target potential leads.

Our client provides RMS solutions to the hospitality industry and had created a ‘checklist’ for best practice and efficiency within the industry. We used this to create an online assessment tool for potential clients. Users answered a series of questions presented in a simple, interactive interface.

On completion of the questions the user was presented with a single line assessment of the effectiveness of their current solution with an option to fill out a data collection form to receive both more information and an animated report on their assessment and arrange a callback from our clients sales team.

We designed, and built the assessment tool as a custom application, with the flexibility required to give us precise control over its presentation. The application was also integrated into our clients CRM platform so that all leads were immediately routed through to their sales team to be acted on in a timely manner.

Case Study - Conference Quiz Application

Our client was running a stand at a high profile business show and wanted both something to provide a point of visual interest for their stand and an interesting way to collect potential lead data on the day.

The level of competition at the conference was high, with some big names in the tech and marketing industries attending the show, so we needed to make sure that anything we provided for our client was as slick and effective as possible within their modest budget.

Our solution was to create a custom pub-quiz style machine, consisting of a large screen with coloured answer buttons on a stand in front of it. Visitors could come to the stand and use the buttons to answer a series of questions on their marketing strategies. We included a countdown timer and animated effects to add a degree of fun and urgency to the process.

Once the visitor had finished the quiz they had the option of filling in their contact details on a flatscreen mounted next to the quiz machine which then revealed their results. Their details were stored locally and at the end of each day the platform was connected to the internet at which point all contact details were added to our client’s CRM and the visitors were automatically emailed a follow-up email along with details of their score.

The platform was created from scratch using a micro-pc, custom hardware for the interface and a local network we configured running a server to manage the entire process. This made it modular, portable and meant it could run without an internet connection.

We also provided on-site support for the duration of the event.

The client thought the outcome was fantastic. There was a constant stream of visitors wanting to try out the quiz machine and the majority of users were willing to sign up to receive more information. Our client said they went on to follow up with enough potential leads to have made the whole event worth it. They stood out from other organisations of the same scale and drew a large amount of attention to themselves.

Case Study - a global multi-language e-detail app for iOS and web

The client, a pharmaceutical marketing company, required an e-detail for one of their larger international accounts.

The e-detail, initially for iOS and the web, needed to be consistent in styles and design. It needed to allow a user to login to specific language versions. Once logged in, the app had to show largely the same information in the specific language, but be flexible enough to display different alphabets and content variations to cater for different markets and local legal requirements. It also need to be fairly compact, and be easy to modify with new languages and content, as different markets opened up.

Our solution allowed the client to create the content - design and text - externally to the app, and then, using a simple configuration file, the pages could be added or removed; sections of text or images could easily be swapped or omitted, and new languages and content added.

Our client, and their's, were very happy with the final result.
